Information:
This beautiful tree stands at a section
of Hadrian's Wall between two crests just east of Milecastle
39 and is locally nicknamed 'Robin Hood Tree', although I
doubt Robin Hood and his merry men ever visited this tree
since Sherwood Forest is over 150 miles away. It's nickname
started due to the location being used in the 1991 film Robin
Hood: Prince of Thieves.
